In case you were not aware of this, Skis.com is a great store to watch for any type of closeout or clearance deals on skis and winter gear…any time of the year. Hope everyone out there had a good summer, but here in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah the nights are cooling off and the snow will be flying before you know it. In fact, this morning we had frost outside!

Earlier this month I posted about three catalog additions…well here are four more. Remember, these featured discount ski catalogs only show items that are discounted a minimum 30% off the MSRP. That’s significant…$30 off a $100 item, and often times free shipping. It’s not brain science.

OK I have been going on now for a week at least about ski clearance sales, because they are all over the place. And yes there are more to come. Actually, it’s kind of just ramping up as it’s not unusual to see winter liquidation sales from web retailers through all of March Here is the note I just got from Skis.com, and they wanted me to spread the word to you. Here is the thing about ski boots, you have to be smart about deal shopping for them. You can cut corners on other ski gear, but for boots…it’s important to make a smart purchase to stay comfortable. If there is any piece of ski gear you should pay a few bucks more for, it’s boots. That said, you still don’t have to be a sucker and pay full sticker. Just did a quick search via the form on the right side bar, and the current number of ski boots on sale right now is many. It’s the time of year when everyone is closing out winter gear, to make room for summer stuff.

This is a biggie. Gotta love the headline of the email I just got from SteepandCheap.com, promoting a today only ski gear clearance sale. This sale started 15 minutes ago, and goes throughout the rest of March 9th. Just think, if you were subscribed to this blog you would have known about this killer opportunity to save cash on ski stuff immediately Here is the headline of the email:

Tramdock haunts SteepandCheap – First tracks on skis, boots and ski gear – March 9th starting at 10am MST.

For those who aren’t aware, Tramdock.com is the now defunct ski ODAT site from Backcountry.com. If you go there, you’ll notice they direct all traffic now to SteepandCheap.com. The widget below holds the current insane deal. Don’t be a sucker and pay full sticker.
